It's Tulip Time!

Category: Boulder Blog

Post Date: Wednesday, April 5, 2017

Greetings from Boulder!

The tulips are finally here! This is my favorite time of year watching the beautiful bulbs showcase their vibrant colors throughout Pearl Street Mall. I attended the Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival Sunday, April 2nd which helped kick off the “waking of the tulips.” I was amazed by the number of pint sized fairies and elves that came out for this springtime tradition! It may have been the cutest thing I have ever seen. I also had the pleasure of meeting the Tulip Fairy herself. She was just as magical and dazzling as I imagined. With the tulip’s arrival, it is the perfect time to experience of the downtown area and see more than 15,000 multicolored bulbs. To give you a preview, here are a few of my favorite tulip beds located on the bricks.

Grab a seat on the patio at West Flanders Brewing Company for a view of the tulips (left) and flatirons! They offer bold flavored beers and delicious food

Head down to Fresh Produce for a glimpse of these gorgeous, red tulips (right)! Fresh Produce brand is known for its original prints, vibrant color and stylish, comfortable clothing.

It’s worth it to take trip downtown to see this vibrant tulip display! Only fifty percent of the tulips have bloomed so it’s not too late to come check them out!  I know I’ll be spending most of my time before graduation enjoying the downtown area. I can’t wait to show my friends and family these unforgettable flowers. Happy springtime!

Best,

Hannah
